Larger Than Life Bernese Mountain Dog
Apart from my Just Dogs portrait, this is only the second Bernese Mountain Dog painting that I have produced. The former being Nursery Slopes.
Of the many large, working breeds, the Bernese is, perhaps, the most striking. Its black, tan and white markings making it a very handsome creature. Ideal, I felt, to produce as a Larger Than Life portrait. I should qualify that, however, as it is such a large dog, that the LTL portrait is not that much bigger that the real thing. Now there's irony!
